This weekend, I watched fish spawn.

I sat in my pollinator garden and watched bumblebees work the wild bergamot. I spotted deer, turkeys, a snake. I took my dog to the park and handed out flyers to strangers about wolves and rodenticides. I celebrated World Turtle Day with you. I dug deeper into my front yard pollinator garden for Garden Wildlife Week.

And while we were all out enjoying the wild places we love — Congress was also working this weekend.

That’s why I’m writing tonight — before the news breaks and everything accelerates.

Did you know your $100 can teach someone about a wolf — and turn them into an advocate for life?

That’s what we do. We go to where the people are. We show up with the truth about what’s happening to wolves and wildlife in Wisconsin. And it works — online, in Minocqua, in Madison, Milwaukee, and Appleton, and in the small communities like DeForest, Evansville, and Forest where nobody else is bringing this information.

Imagine reaching every community festival. Every large gathering. Every Fourth of July crowd across this state this summer. Flyers. Tabling. Talks. Media campaigns. Billboards. That’s what your donation makes possible.

We work all week — and all weekend — so that you can go out and enjoy your natural resources. The wolves in the Northwoods. The turtles crossing back-roads on Memorial Day. The pollinators rebuilding a food web in your front yard. The fish doing what they have done for thousands of years. Someone has to fight to keep all of that intact. We’re that someone.
