🐢   DAY 2 OF 3 — MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND FUNDRAISER   🐢

It’s Day 2 of our Memorial Day weekend fundraiser — and as it turns out, today is also World Turtle Day.

We didn’t plan it that way. But honestly? It feels right.

🐢 A PSA for everyone out camping this weekend:

If you see a turtle trying to cross the road — and it’s safe to do so — please pull over. Put your emergency flashers on. Help that turtle get to where it was going.

Turtles have been navigating this planet for 200 million years. They just didn’t count on us building roads across their routes. They need a little help from their human neighbors. Be that human.

Our three-state Great Lakes region is home to 32 turtle species across Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota — and several are already threatened or endangered.

Turtles, wolves, songbirds, coyotes — the threats look different for each of them, but the story is the same: a system that treats wildlife as property instead of life.

Great Lakes Wildlife Alliance is working to change that system — not just fight individual battles. Your support makes that possible.
