While America Watches the Seahawks, Wolves Are Being Tortured

While America Celebrates the Seahawks, Wolves Face Systematic Torture

February 8, 2026

Today, millions of Americans will invest billions in celebrating the Super Bowl—cheering for the Seahawks, a team whose very name honors one of nature’s most formidable predators. The irony could not be more profound.

As the nation gathers around screens and tables, HR 845 advances through the Senate, poised to strip federal protections from gray wolves and condemn them to the brutality documented below.

Sunday: A Moment for Reflection and Unity

For many Americans, Sunday represents a sacred day—a time for worship, reflection, and gathering with those we cherish. Today, as you celebrate with family and friends, we ask you to consider another gathering: the one forming to protect wolves from systematic torture.

This is not a matter of political division. More Americans prioritize wildlife protection than immigration reform. Eighty-three percent of Republicans and ninety percent of Democrats support wildlife conservation. This represents one of the rare issues capable of uniting us across every divide.

Share this evidence with your family today. Engage them in conversation about what is coming. Ask them to contribute what they can. Though our teams may differ on the field, our commitment to preventing animal cruelty must remain unified.

We can prevail—but only through collective action.

Examine the shattered bodies. Witness the celebration of brutality. Observe them posing with mangled bodies as trophies.

This is Wisconsin, February 2021. This occurred during a mere sixty days without federal protections.

They Are All Cody Roberts

The nation remembers Cody Roberts—the individual who tortured a wolf in Wyoming, paraded the suffering animal through a bar, and ultimately killed it while spectators watched and photographed.

Every supporter of HR 845 is complicit in the same depravity.

  • Every congressional representative who voted affirmatively
  • Every senator now considering passage
  • Every hunting lobbyist advancing the legislation
  • Every state wildlife agency anticipating kill quotas
  • Every elected official accepting contributions from Safari Club International

The Immediate Threat

In Wisconsin specifically:

  • Bear hunting interests seek delisting to resume hound training seasons—using wolves as live targets
  • Documented poaching cases go unprosecuted
  • State agencies systematically violate open meetings laws
  • Dark money networks fund pro-hunting legislators

Expanding Protection Across the Great Lakes Region

Minnesota: With Howling for Wolves suspending operations, we are establishing infrastructure to defend Minnesota’s wolf population.

Michigan: Our board member is monitoring threats and building local networks.

Wisconsin: Continuing litigation, legislative advocacy, and exposing corruption.

The California Initiative

This week, we travel to California to study their science-based wildlife management, cougar protection strategies, and legal frameworks. We’re meeting with our legal team, developing the special prosecutor initiative, and learning from experts who’ve successfully protected predators.

We Are the MVPs

Federal Initiatives: Litigation to stop HR 845, coalition building, exposing dark money

State Campaigns: Legal challenges, special prosecutor initiative, accountability measures

California Mission: Game Commission observation, legal strategy, wildlife law education

Our Principles: Grassroots, Transparent, Accountable

✓ Grassroots donations only
✓ No grants with conditions
✓ No oil/gas/extraction industry money
✓ Complete transparency

This independence lets us do what foundation-funded groups can’t: sue agencies, name corrupt politicians, show graphic evidence, call supporters accomplices to torture.

The Evidence Demands a Decision

They are all Cody Roberts. We are the MVPs.

83% of Republicans and 90% of Democrats support wildlife protection. This transcends politics—this is about ending animal torture.

Which side will you support?

One response to “While America Watches the Seahawks, Wolves Are Being Tortured”

  1. Anyone who gets pleasure in torturing animals is a sick person. It is time we stop the killing for sport and only humanely kill animals for food. We don’t even have to eat meat to stay healthy. Animals do not deserve to be shot, poisoned, beaten or tortured. They have feelings, emotions, feel pain and teach humans compassion and how to love and care for others. Let’s learn those behaviors from them. Yes they kill for food and sometimes for protection. Yes some can be aggressive. Sound familiar? Humans do the same. These actions should be dome only when necessary and as a last resort.
