We’re the Safety Net for Wildlife — Join Us This Week 🐺🦇🌲

Government shutdown. Endangered species at risk. We’re still fighting — and we need you.
When the government shuts down, wildlife loses. But with your help, we’re still fighting.

Last week was a masterclass in grassroots wildlife advocacy. From nearly selling out the Invisible Mammal screening to launching Wildlife Wednesdays and preparing for our Halloween HOWL with Luna the wolf, we’ve been busy — and we’re just getting started.

🦇 Invisible Mammal didn’t just fill seats — it filled hearts. The film illuminated the silent crisis facing North America’s bats, many of which are teetering on the edge of extinction. Viewers left informed and empowered — ready to advocate for state and local protections that fill the gaps left by federal rollbacks.

📉 Those gaps are widening. The Trump administration’s proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act would redefine “harm” to exclude habitat destruction — gutting protections for countless species. But we’re fighting back. Great Lakes Wildlife Alliance filed a petition to list wolves as state-threatened in Wisconsin and is collaborating with Michigan, Minnesota, and Illinois to build a regional shield for wolf protection.

💸 When the Government Shuts Down, Wildlife Pays the Price

With the federal government in shutdown, agencies like the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, EPA, and NOAA are operating with skeletal staff or none at all. That means:
– Endangered species recovery is delayed
– Wildfire prevention efforts stall
– Environmental enforcement halts
– Critical habitat protections go unenforced

We are the stopgap. With your help, we are the only ones still working in this region.

🌱 Nature’s Nest Egg: Rethinking Conservation Funding

We’re exploring bold new models like Nature’s Nest Egg — a framework for building sustainable, grassroots-driven funding for wildlife protection. We’re also tapping into the American System of Conservation Funding, but we know it’s not enough.

That’s why we’re asking you to invest in a future where wildlife doesn’t depend on political whims.

We only take grassroots donations.
We’re not backed by corporations — we’re backed by you.

Your donation buys:
– Emergency litigation
– Grassroots mobilization
– Strategic media response
– Policy analysis and coalition-building
