Fireside: Washington Briefing & Annual Meeting

Urgent Alert: Join Our Fireside Chat Tonight!

Dear Wildlife Defenders,

We’re at a critical juncture for our nation’s wildlife and wild places. Tonight, from 6:00-6:30 PM CST, we’re hosting a vital fireside chat to discuss our upcoming annual meeting and the alarming developments in Washington DC. We will also discuss the Presidental Election briefttly and Vote Wild!

Our natural heritage is under siege. A dangerously regressive appropriations proposal threatens to:

  • Slash $144 million from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service budget
  • Cut new species listings under the Endangered Species Act by 20%
  • Strip protections from gray wolves across most of their range
  • Block funds for protecting iconic species like wolverines and grizzly bears
  • Halt critical wildlife reintroduction efforts in the Great Lakes region

This isn’t just another budget cut – it’s a calculated attack on America’s ability to safeguard biodiversity and combat the climate crisis.

Addtionally our Annual Meeting is coming up July 11th 2024 from 6pm to 8pm. Mark your calendars! Your voice and input are invaluable as we strategize our response. Join us tonight to:

  • Learn about our plans for the annual meeting
  • Share your ideas and concerns
  • Help shape our collective action plan

Don’t miss this opportunity to stand up for our wild heritage. Your participation could make all the difference.
