Due to our critical meetings in Washington, D.C., with Senators and Congress members regarding wolf treatment, the national wolf plan, appropriations, and preparations for our upcoming annual meeting, there will be no fireside chat tonight. instead we will meet NEXT Tuesday July 2ndt 2024, for an incredible update and annual plan. We are urgently fighting back

1. Delisting Gray Wolves:
   • One of the most controversial riders aims to congressionally delist the Great Lakes and Wyoming wolves¹.
   • This rider not only removes federal protections for these wolves but also blocks any future lawsuits, even if the wolf population becomes imperiled again.
   • If enacted, this rider would have significant consequences for wolf management and conservation efforts.
2. Killing Wolves:
   • The same rider that proposes delisting also has implications for wolf mortality.
   • By removing protections, it could potentially lead to increased wolf hunting and trapping in the Great Lakes region and Wyoming.
   • The rider precludes the possibility of judicial review, making the delisting virtually permanent².
