Do You want another wolf hunt decided by people like this?
These are the kind of messages I get while trying to recoup in the hospital
So let us tell you what “a repeat of five years ago” means.
In February 2021, a hunt planned to run a week was over in 60 hours. Hunters killed 218 wolves against a quota of 119. 86 percent died running from packs of hunting hounds — unlimited in number, untracked, unsupervised.
They don’t care about science. In fact they considered killing a wolf with the collar a bonus for getting the quote unquote jewelry
We were there. We have the video. The photographs. The audio of what a pack of six dogs does to a wolf with nowhere left to run — including, in more than one case, a pregnant female in her final weeks, fighting for her own life and for a litter that would never be born.
Almost all of that footage has since been scrubbed from the internet. We still have it. We’re not going to describe it in more detail than this, because what’s on those recordings doesn’t belong in an email inbox. If you’ve ever loved an animal, you already know enough to understand what we’re choosing not to show you.
That is what current law does the moment delisting takes effect — no matter who’s in the governor’s office in January. That is what we’re trying to stop from happening again.
The state doesn’t even count how many wolves die in these bloody dog fighting conflicts
Torturing pups legally
This is genuinely urgent.
Thank you to everyone who has given so far. We see you, and we would not be standing without you.
We know money is tight right now. It’s tight for us too — we are 100% volunteer, and every one of us is feeling the same hard times you are. But we’re asking anyway, we have to be ready before hunting season opens, not after.
We are a tiny organization. No paid staff, no corporate money, no war chest. But we win — we’ve beaten this before, and we intend to beat it again. We will do everything in our power to stop this, because what happened to those wolves in 2021 was disgusting, and we are not going to let it happen quietly a second time.
$25 covers a records request
$50 funds a day of field monitoring
$100 helps fund legal work now
If you’ve never donated before, now is the time. We need you. We need to support the pack — not the PAC or the sadistic hunters
