Dear Friend,
Happy Father’s Day—from the wild fathers of the Great Lakes
Today we celebrate the devoted fathers in our own lives—and the remarkable fathers in the natural world who work just as hard to protect and raise their young.
Bald eagle fathers share incubation duties, guard the nest, and tirelessly bring food to their growing chicks. High above our lakes and rivers, they are constant sentinels, teaching their young to fly and hunt.
Wolf fathers help feed and defend the pups, bringing food back to the den and watching over them while the mother hunts. In a wolf pack, fatherhood is a family commitment—older siblings help raise the next generation, too.
These wild fathers do everything they can to give their young a chance at life. But they can’t defend their families from habitat loss, persecution, and short‑sighted policies. That’s where we come in.
This Father’s Day, we’re asking you to honor the fathers you love—and the fathers of the wild—by supporting
Great Lakes Wildlife Alliance. Your gift powers our work to protect wolves, eagles, and other wildlife across the Great Lakes region through science-based advocacy, public education, and policy reform.
Donate in honor of wild fathers
Whether you give in honor of a dad, grandparent, mentor, or father figure, your support helps ensure that future generations will still know the sight of an eagle teaching its young to soar and the sound of wolves howling over northern forests.
Thank you for standing with us—and for standing up for wildlife families who can’t speak for themselves.
With gratitude,
Great Lakes Wildlife Alliance
