They Return Every Spring. Let’s Make Sure They Always Can. Protect migratory wildlife. Claim your collector’s gift
Every spring, Katie and her family in Madison, Wisconsin, wait for the same pair of sandhill cranes to return. They call them Mr. & Mrs. Sandhill. These majestic birds walk the yard, raise their young in the nearby marsh, and trumpet their arrival like clockwork. It’s a ritual of joy, of connection, of continuity.
But this fall, that ritual is under threat.
Legislators are pushing to legalize recreational hunting of sandhill cranes—birds that have committed no harm, caused no damage, and offer far more beauty than any imagined nuisance. These aren’t pests. They’re poetry in motion. And if we don’t act, Mr. & Mrs. Sandhill may never return.
This isn’t just about cranes. It’s about protecting migratory waterfowl across the Great Lakes region. It’s about defending wildlife from being reduced to targets. And it’s about standing up for truth in a time of political distortion.
That’s why we’re launching our Howl for Change / Howl for Truth campaign—to raise $7,000 by September 30 to fight back in the legislature, mobilize public pressure, and protect the wild voices that can’t speak for themselves.
And here’s how you can help—while receiving something extraordinary in return.

The first donor to give $250 or more will receive a museum-grade, signed Ken Zylla lithograph, featuring mallards in flight. This 1985 commemorative print is:
– ✍️ Signed by the artist
– 🖼️ Professionally framed (25″ x 30″)
– 📮 Includes a USPS-issued new 1985 wildlife stamp
– 📦 Brand new in box with original receipts
You won’t find this in better condition—not even in a gallery. It’s a gift that honors the wild and the art that celebrates it. It’s a Wisconsin heirloom and piece of history to proudly display.

Let’s make sure Katie’s cranes come back next spring. Let’s make sure the wild isn’t silenced by politics.
With fierce gratitude,
Melissa Smith
P.S. More gifts are coming this fall—but this Zylla print is one-of-a-kind. Be the first to give $250+ and make it yours.
