Wildlife Wednesday: Special Guest + Staying Resilient

Hey everyone,

First—how are you holding up?

These past few weeks have been intense. We’re navigating policy battles, legislative fights, and a lot of uncertainty. Some days it feels like we’re running uphill in a blizzard. But here’s what I keep coming back to: wolves know something about resilience that we could all use right now.

Wolves survive because they adapt, persist, and don’t quit. They’ve been shot, trapped, poisoned, nearly driven to extinction—and they’re still here. They reclaim territory inch by inch. They raise pups in the face of impossible odds. They keep showing up, year after year, because that’s what survival looks like. It’s not pretty. It’s not easy. But it works.

That’s us right now. We keep showing up. We keep fighting. And we don’t do it alone.

WILDLIFE WEDNESDAY TOMORROW

Wednesday, January 15, 2026 | 6:00 – 7:00 PM CST

Join us for a special Wildlife Wednesday with our friend from Women for Wolves—the same amazing guest who joined us at our donor appreciation party! She’ll be sharing her experiences working with wolves, why advocacy matters now more than ever, and what keeps her going when the fight gets hard.

See what Women for Wolves does: Watch their story here — This video shows the incredible healing work they do with rescued wolf-dogs and the women they serve. You’ll see why this conversation matters.

This is a space to connect, share, and remind each other why we’re in this. If you’re feeling worn out, overwhelmed, or just need to be around people who get it—this is your night. Come hang out with us.

🎉 EXCITING NEWS: WE HAVE A NEW WEBSITE!

Same mission, new name. Check out SpeakForWolves.org and let us know what you think!

We’re building something that centers the wolves and the people who fight for them—and we want your feedback. Take a look around and tell us what resonates with you.

NEXT WEEK: Special Guest Javon Hedgewood

Wednesday, January 22, 2026 | 6:00 – 7:00 PM CST

Mark your calendars! Next week we’re hosting Javon Hedgewood, who works in tech developing environmentally friendly technology. He’ll be talking to us about data centers, AI, and how these systems impact wildlife—and how they can actually benefit the environment if we demand that tech companies prioritize ecological responsibility.

Ever wondered how AI and data centers work? Javon will break it down in a way that makes sense, and show us how we can push for tech that protects our lands and wildlife. This is going to be fascinating.

Want to learn more before the talk? Check out this eye-opening article from National Wildlife Federation: More Data Centers, More Environmental Problems? — It covers how data centers affect wildlife through energy demands, water use, noise pollution, light pollution, and habitat loss. Understanding these impacts helps us know what questions to ask and how to demand better.

SUPPORT THE FIGHT

If you’ve been thinking about donating or know someone who wants to help, now’s the time. Every dollar goes directly into stopping HR 845, fighting for ESA protections, and holding corrupt systems accountable.

If you need to talk, vent, strategize, or just hear a friendly voice before tomorrow night—email me. Seriously. We’re all in this together, and nobody should be carrying this alone.

See you tomorrow.
